Why Black Box Hyrox
Hyrox training is accessible to all fitness levels. However, most of the Hyrox functional fitness events tend to be difficult to train at typical gyms. At Black Box Hyrox (located at CrossFit NYC) we have the trainers, the equipment, and most importantly, the space to allow you to train all the functional fitness components of Hyrox. You don’t need to quit your current gym. Black Box Hyrox classes are All Day Wednesday and Saturday, and can become a perfect part of your weekly fitness routine.
WHAT IS HYROX TRAINING
We call these classes “CrossFit (Hyrox Metcons)
- CrossFit: because they involve functional movements done at high intensity
- Hyrox: because they involve the primarily the components of a Hyrox Race (Ski Erg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges, Wall Balls)
- Metcon: short for metabolic conditioning (strength, cardio, and stamina)
We believe these are the best HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) classes in the city.
