What is Black Box Strength?
Black Box Strength is CrossFit NYCโs first strength and hypertrophy oriented program starting January 6th, 2025. We will meet twice per week (Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30pm). Work with Coach Brian DeGennaro to get stronger and learn from someone with more than 20 years of strength training experience.
This 8 week cycle will focus on compound movements such as presses, squats, and deadlifts, alongside accessory movements that will improve flexibility, shore up weaknesses, and increase muscle mass to boost your strength gains. This first cycle will progress from a 4 week preparatory phase aimed at improving work capacity and laying a foundation for the following 4 week peaking phase.
Who is Black Box Strength for?
This is a great program for beginner, intermediate, and advanced trainees looking to focus on dedicated strength and hypertrophy training. Are you a current CFNYC member struggling with hitting Rx weights on the WODs or having difficulty with those heavy sled pushes in Hyrox? This is the program that will help you get closer to those goals.
